Typically, this is information only offered through extremely expensive programs like NPD, and even then, the product is so focused on the larger consumer electronics industry, it doesn’t really help those of us in the mid-to-high-end A/V industry. That’s why we poll a variety of dealers and consumers, focusing on CEDIA level integrators in order to make sure the data you get is specific to your business, because just like source content - garbage in, garbage out!

Providing Integrators And Enthusiasts With A Voice

MRKTMKR has always believed that engaging with and getting feedback from the integrator and consumer/enthusiast groups is the only way to properly run a business. The Home Theater and Smart Home communities are ultra passionate, and the only way for a manufacturer to make sure they truly understand the needs of their community is to survey them and find out what features and benefits matter most to them. We send out quarterly surveys to both integrators and consumers, and can segment them based on brands they own/represent, $ spend on their systems, where they live, and what technologies they currently use. By using a 3rd party, you make sure there isn't a bias towards your brand, and while the surveyed's private data is never given out, we aggregate the data anonymously, and can then segment it by whatever info you want to see. So if you want to see the most popular audio brands for consumers in the $100k theater range, or what speaker brands integrators doing more than $2M a year in sales prefer, we can provide that data.


In the past to get data like this, you would need to subscribe to a system like NPD, which would typically cost tens of thousands of dollars, and even then was primarily focused on the general consumer, so the CEDIA channel often didn't get the same quality of reporting as the larger CE brands might. With MRKTMKR, we are specifically surveying CEDIA integrators and true home theater and technology enthusiasts, with feedback that goes far deeper than the average survey, and results that manufacturers, integrators, and consumers can be happy contributing to.
